European Care sponsors the award for Training and Development at the Scottish Care Awards Ceremony
On Friday 20th November 2009, Scottish Care held their fifth annual Care conference and Awards Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. European Care were proud along with various other agencies to be sponsors of this event. The Evening Awards Dinner was attended by over 600 people. Thirteen awards were presented. The winners were chosen by a judging panel from The SSSC, Care Commission, Stirling University and The British Dietetic Association. The compere for the evening was Kaye Adams. European Care Group was represented by Vice Chairman, David Perry and his wife Annabel, four staff representatives and two service users Billy Wingate and Euan Fisher. Billy lives at Millport Care Centre and Euan uses the short break service which operates from Millport. David Perry along with Billy Wingate had the honour of presenting the award for Training and Staff Development. This award was won by Pauline McIntyre from Erskine Hospital, Bishopton. Staff at Erskine provide excellent care for Ex Servicemen. This was a lovely evening which was enjoyed by all.
