We offer nursing care and support for older people with Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, physical disabilities and mental health problems. Our staff provide person-centred nursing care 24 hours a day and care is tailored to individuals’ needs and wishes. It’s important to us that individuals have a real involvement in their care and we develop their bespoke care plan in conjunction with the individual and their relatives. We provide people with a safe, supportive and stimulating environment where they can have choice and control over their own lives and they are encouraged to become involved in a range of leisure, social and therapeutic activities.
We provide palliative care for people recovering from an illness and also for people approaching the end of their life. Palliative care can be delivered at all stages of an illness, whether curable or terminal. Our focus remains on maintaining each person’s dignity and privacy and respecting their wishes and choices. We place people at the heart of their bespoke care plan and provide a comfortable, safe and supportive environment for everyone who stays with us. We employ a multi-disciplinary approach to care and offer a range of therapeutic and social activities to improve quality of life and make people feel as comfortable as possible.
Respite care offers people temporary residential care in order to recover from an illness or to enable family or carers to take a break from their responsibility of caring for somebody else. Respite care can also be used by people wishing to try out a care home before making a decision about their future. Our respite services provide a comfortable, homely environment and our staff are committed to maintaining the wellbeing, dignity and independence of each person who stays with us.
Care for people with physical disabilities
We provide care and support for people who have a range of physical disabilities. Our person-centred approach runs through everything we do and we develop bespoke care plans in conjunction with the individual to support them in achieving their independence. Our staff are specially trained to work with people to find ways of improving or maintaining their independence and we support and motivate people to reacquire practical skills and improve their physical abilities.
